About me and my therapy practice

Are you finding life overwhelming? Do you agonise about whether you've got things right, worry about what others are thinking of you, or lie awake at night wondering how you're going to get through the next days or weeks? If this resonates, I can offer support - you don't have to manage it all by yourself.

My name is Sian. I'm a therapeutic counsellor and psychotherapist working with adults of all backgrounds, ages and identities. I provide a safe supportive space to help you build confidence, reduce anxiety, and move toward a more grounded, self-assured version of you.

Whether you're struggling in relationships, experiencing problems at work, navigating a major life transition, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life's pressures, I can help you. We'll work at your pace, gently exploring what's holding you back, and finding a way forward that brings meaningful and lasting change.

I have experience working with a range of issues including anxiety, low self-esteem, lack of confidence, problems with personal or work relationships, recent or historical trauma, depression, and difficult life changes. Counselling can be helpful for anyone, no matter how big or small the struggle may seem. Whether you're facing something that feels heavy and all-consuming, or you simply need a space to explore what's on your mind, I can offer clarity, support, and a way forward.

In addition to my private practice, I work freelance for a specialist charity supporting adult survivors of sexual abuse. This work has deepened my ability to hold space with care, sensitivity, and compassion - whatever your story may be.

I work in line with the BACP code of professional conduct, and offer a respectful, inclusive, and reflective practice. My work is supervised by a clinical supervisor in order to ensure it remains safe and ethical.

I offer a free 20-minute phone call so you can ask questions and see if I might be the right fit for you.

Practice description

I am an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist at Time 2 Talk Counselling. I am available for face to face sessions in Kingston Bagpuize near Abingdon. I also work online. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).

My approach is primarily person-centred, which means I work collaboratively and gently, supporting you to explore what feels most important to you. I am also trained in Transactional Analysis and Gestalt, and so I can call on a variety of insights and tailor my way of working with you to suit your individual needs. Whether you're seeking therapy for something specific, or simply need a space to pause and reflect, I'll meet you where you are.

I work in a trauma-informed way - meaning I remain sensitive to how past experiences (even those that might not seem like "big" traumas) can shape the way we feel, think, and relate. This might include paying attention to how emotions are held in the body and exploring how we can work with these responses to move from simply coping, toward feeling more whole and grounded.

Therapy sessions are 50 minutes long, and generally held on a weekly basis, and for as long as you feel you need them.

My first session

In the first session, we will start to unpack your concerns and look at what you hope to gain from therapy, and I will explain more about how I can work with you to achieve your objectives.

You can then decide whether you would like to continue with regular sessions. There is no obligation to continue at any point.
