About me and my therapy practice

I have experience working with a wide variety of situations and challenges, including bereavement, relationship issues, low self-esteem, trauma, and family issues.

In particular, I am interested in exploring family dynamics, including sibling dynamics, caring responsibilities, and parenting. I am also experienced in working with neurodivergent clients (regardless of whether they have a diagnosis, are self-diagnosed, or asking questions about themselves) and am celebratory of different ways of thinking, while making the accommodations I can in the room, such as fidget toys, movement breaks, and exploration of sensory experiences.

I recognise that therapeutic spaces have historically and currently can be harder for some groups to access for different reasons, including LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent folks. I want to be clear that my practice is affirming and inclusive without a hidden agenda. You may have questions about your identity that can be thought about together or you may have had a realisation and could do with some help to think about what it means for your life. Together we can make a safe space for your questions.

Practice description

I work face-to-face or online on a weekly basis with clients over 18 years old, both short-term and long-term.

I am BACP registered and have a postgraduate diploma in Psychodynamic Practice. I am fully insured and DBS checked, and work in both private practice and the charity sector. I attend regular supervision as part of an ethical practice.

My approach is psychodynamic, which means that we consider together what might be happening for you both consciously and unconsciously. By thinking together, we can identify root causes and patterns that might be contributing to your current difficulties, as well as valuing your lived experience and the realities of your life.

My first session

I initially offer a free 20 minute phone call to see what you are looking for. If you would then like a first session, we can arrange a 50 minute session to see if we would like to work together longer term.
