About me and my therapy practice

Thank you for taking the time to visit my profile. I’m an intuitive, calming, and approachable counsellor. I have experience working with adults from all walks of life and I am deeply passionate about providing a space where every individual feels truly heard and valued for their uniqueness.

Life can be tough, and we all face moments when support can make a world of difference. I understand the joy and challenges life brings, as well as the deep loneliness of feeling unseen in your pain. Being truly heard and acknowledged is a powerful, healing experience—and everyone deserves that.

Counselling professional:

I am an experienced qualified Person-Centred counsellor, and alongside my private practice, I work at a well-established UK charity in which I support clients with bereavement, trauma, anxiety, and work-related stress. I also specifically support clients bereaved by suicide.

I have a specific interest in helping people navigate the loss of their companion animal. This was the focus of my master's research and I have an in-depth understanding of this unique loss.

What are my values and what will our sessions be like?

I am naturally very emphatic and genuine and I see my role in supporting people as very much a vocation. I truly want to see people live the best life they can and to find their own way of doing that.  My sessions are welcoming, friendly, and informal. What you choose to discuss and how much you share is in your control. We work at your pace.

Practice description

Is this type of counselling right for you?

I offer person-centred counselling and I am also trained in trauma-informed approaches. This type of counselling is ideal for exploring and understanding your experiences in a safe and supportive environment. I believe we all have the inner capacity to navigate our challenges, but sometimes it’s hard to do it alone. Many clients tell me, "I feel so much lighter after saying that, and now I can see more clearly how to move forward." How would it feel for you to experience that clarity and relief?

Your experience is unique:

The type of therapy I offer values your experience and the unique person you are.  There are however common themes that can come through that may have affected us all, at some point in our lives.  You may be overwhelmed, struggling with loneliness, and trying to be everything for everyone else when really you want someone to be there for you.  Our lives can be stressful, raise our anxiety, and make us feel like we are not moving forward.

Our sessions are dedicated entirely to you—a chance to step away from the busyness of life and focus on yourself. Our sessions provide a safe place to explore your feelings, express them openly, and identify what you truly need.

My first session

I offer you an opportunity for us to get to know each other on the phone or by video call, to see how we feel about taking a therapeutic journey together.

We can chat together about what times and days are good, how frequently you would like sessions, fees, and confidentiality.

I would also like to hear about what has brought you to counselling and what you are looking for.  If you would like to set this up please get in touch.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a warm, approachable counsellor, committed to providing a safe, confidential space where you can explore your feelings, experiences, and challenges without judgement. I deeply respect each person’s unique journey, and together, we can find insights and solutions that fit with your life. Whether you’re facing the loss of a loved one—including a beloved companion animal—or managing other personal struggles, I am here to walk alongside you with compassion and support.

My practice focuses on offering person-centred, trauma-informed support for those dealing with grief and loss, including bereavement from the loss of a loved one, loss by suicide, or the passing of a companion animal. I also work with clients facing emotional and psychological challenges such as trauma, domestic violence, recurring negative thoughts, low self-esteem, and self-doubt. Additionally, I help individuals navigate relational difficulties, workplace stress, and inner conflicts around identity and purpose. My approach is aimed at helping you heal from past trauma, rebuild resilience, and rediscover a sense of self-worth, supporting your growth and confidence.

Qualifications and Experience:

I hold a master’s degree in counselling and bring extensive experience from my work with a leading UK charity, where I support clients through a range of life challenges. I am committed to ongoing professional development and have specialized training in complex trauma, working with shame, and self-harm. My practice is trauma-informed, and I am especially passionate about providing sensitive support for those grieving the loss of a companion animal. As a registered member of the Association of Pet Bereavement Counsellors, I offer compassionate understanding for this unique form of loss.

My own life experiences reinforce my belief in each person’s resilience. I am here to help you find a path forward that feels authentic and empowering.
