About me and my therapy practice
I offer individual counselling for adults for a wide variety of issues, including people experiencing anxiety, grief, low mood, relationship issues - and anyone who's going through difficult changes in life and trying to find a way forward.
My philosophy is based on personal growth - I will help you explore your present challenges and face transitions with a renewed sense of awareness.
I was born in Buenos Aires (Argentina), a city renowned for its wide access to psychotherapy, bringing with me a clear sense on how therapy could be useful and incorporated into everyday life. I strongly believe that therapy could be beneficial to anyone wanting to live more fully and authentically, no matter their circumstances.
Prior training as a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, I had a corporate career in global businesses for over 20 years, allowing to bring a first-hand experience to support those individuals with high-pressure jobs and complex work dynamics.
Practice description
I work with a humanistic, integrative orientation. This means that I focus on the person as a whole, as an individual and in their relationships. I call from diverse theories, philosophies and experiences to suit your specific needs.
I hold a Diploma on Psychotherapeutic Counselling from Northern Guild. I am a member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and work in accordance with their ethical framework.
I also bring coaching experience from my work in the corporate world and I hold a Master in Business Administration from Cranfield University.
My first session
Asking for help can feel daunting, whether you are coming back to therapy or are seeing a therapist for the first time. The first session is an opportunity to get to know each other and discuss the best way forward.
This is what you can expect from working together:
* Empathy and support - I will help you explore your issues and understand what is important to you. Empathy is at the core of my practice and we'll explore your view of the world to help you move forward.
* An approach that works for you - I call on different therapeutic approaches responding to the needs and preferences of each client, making sure that you get the most out of our time together.
* Confidentiality - Our discussions will be confidential. I am guided by the BACP Ethical Framework to ensure all clients can discuss topics freely.
