About me and my therapy practice
I use an integrative approach in counselling, with a focus on Person-Centered Therapy, that allows me to tailor the services to your unique needs and experiences. I hold Level 5 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (QFC).
I aim to provide personalised counselling support in a safe, compassionate environment for individual growth and healing.
I can work on issues like grief, shame, anxieties and relationship issues (not couples counselling).
Practice description
I provide counselling support, not advice nor guidance, but support to find own answers and solutions in accordance to own personality, thinking, experiences, circumstances, guided but not bounded by BACP rules. I am BACP registered. I abide by the BACP Ethical Framework for Counselling Professionals.
The counselling sessions are 50 minutes long and I advise attending sessions for six weeks, in the first instance. There is a regular review on the progress with the client, usually every six weeks, to make sure the counselling sessions go in the direction that the client needs.
My first session
In the first session I explain the way I work, provide the client with the counselling agreement and ask the client what brought him/her to counselling, in order to understand if I am the best fit for the client or if the client needs a different therapist (or a different counselling approach).
