About me and my therapy practice

I understand that seeking a counsellor can feel daunting, please be assured that I welcome you with respect and compassion to build a trusting relationship at a pace that you feel comfortable with. There may be something specific that is troubling you, or maybe you’re not entirely sure, whatever the issue, if it’s bothering you it’s worth talking about.

Counselling can be helpful at any stage of life; Life transitions such as reaching a significant age, a change in roles, adjusting to loss, or issues around your own identity can bring up a range of feelings and questions. Perhaps you feel stressed, anxious, depressed or have a feeling that something just isn’t right, sometimes our minds are so busy, things can feel overwhelming. You may be dealing with current issues or past events which are impacting on your present life.

I offer a confidential space to explore your feelings and experiences without judgement so that you can feel heard and understood. I will help you to have a deeper understanding of yourself increasing your ability to make changes, cope, work towards your desired goals, and be your true authentic self. As an integrative counsellor I am able to draw on a variety of therapeutic approaches to best support your needs. We can work together to explore and understand your thoughts and emotions, working through and processing events to make sense of your unique experiences. Feel free to get in touch if you’d like to find out more about counselling.

My previous roles in education, adult social care and counselling organisations, where I have supported a diverse range of individuals including those with learning disabilities, older adults, and those who are neurodivergent, has led me to believe that everyone is capable of change, growth and healing when they feel at ease to share and explore themselves with the support of another.
