About me and my therapy practice

Are you struggling to understand and deal with your feelings? Are past experiences continuing to affect you?

What ever your reasons for considering counselling I am here to provide a safe space to explore the feelings and experiences that are stopping you living your best life. I am a warm, open hearted, empathic and accepting qualified counsellor psychotherapist with experience of helping clients with a wide range of issues including: anxiety, depression, family/relationship break-up, grief, childhood trauma, PTSD and much more.

We will explore together why you feel like you do and work towards finding a way of being that feels more comfortable. I have trained as an Integrative therapist, which means I can work with a number of therapy models to suite my client and their issues best. I understand that taking that first step into counselling can be scary, so I offer a free introductory phone consultation so you can explore if I feel like the right counsellor for you.

Practice description

I have experience of working with clients for a limited period, such as six weeks, in which we maintain goal-orientated approach to dealing with the presenting issues in a focussed way. However, I have also work with clients on a long-term basis – such as over two years – allowing clients time and space to explore and uncover deeply rooted, complicated or traumatic histories in a safe and supportive way. I encourage ongoing collaboration and reviews from the start of therapy to plan the journey and schedule of our work together. This will normally take the form of weekly 50-minute sessions, but this can vary in line with the clients availability and need.

My first session

I offer an initial 30 minute free phone consultation, to establish if we are the correct fit for each other.
