About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully qualified and experienced person-centred/experiential counsellor/psychotherapist working with adults (18+).
I aim to offer judgement free space where you can both be yourself and explore change in ways that feel safe to you. You are the expert on your life, and my role is to help you make sense of the things you feel, the stories you carry, or the obstacles you may face.
While I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the fundamental ingredient to healing and change, I consider my most useful skill set as a therapist to be my ability to explore your experience with genuine acceptance. I hold respect, empathy, and authenticity at the centre of my work and aim to provide an opportunity for you to be truly seen and heard.
Practice description
Over the last 15 years, I have specialised in working with neurodivergent people and those with neurological conditions in a broad range of settings, such as higher education, the Arts and the field of counselling and psychotherapy. My professional work and personal experience have helped me recognise that every person is unique and deserves a personalised approach. I will always try to accommodate any sensory needs that may impact on your ability to access therapy.
Cultural sensitivity is central to my approach; I am always working towards making my practice as anti-oppressive, anti-racist, and anti-ableist as I can. I am LGBTQIA+ friendly and as a trauma-informed and neuro-affirmative practitioner, I adapt therapy to your issues and needs, and together we will seek to gain new understanding and insights.
I work face-to-face in an accessible therapy room in central Liverpool, on Castle Street.
I also offer online sessions via MS Teams Zoom.
Fees
I offer a free, no obligation, 20-30 minute phone or online consultation.
If we decide to work together, appointments are £60.00 for one therapeutic hour.
For those struggling financially, I also have a limited number of concessionary spaces; these are managed on a case-by-case basis.
For organisations, please contact me for more information on my group rates.
My first session
I offer a free, no obligation, 20-30 minute consultation.
This will allow you to talk about what you want out of therapy and to ask any questions about the therapeutic process. Finding the right fit is important, so feel free to take some time to decide whether I'm the right therapist for you.
If we decide to work together, sessions after the consultation are £60.00 for one therapeutic hour.
