About me and my therapy practice

I work relationally to help each client feel fully seen and understood. I work collaboratively with clients to make sense of what is going on and what could help.

I help you to access compassion and acceptance to find respite and new ways of looking at the challenges that life can bring for us.

In the early stages of working together, we may focus on what is challenging right now and ways to help you manage in the moment and feel supported. In longer term working, we could also look at the impact of past relational and other experiences to identify how these could be shaping your feelings today to enable you to make new choices about coping strategies. For many clients, especially neurodivergent clients, the focus may include considering changes in the environment around the client to make life easier.

My areas of specialism include anxiety, working with attachment styles, bereavement, depression, trauma, neurodivergence affirming therapy, and working with parents or carers of children or adults with additional support needs.

Practice description

I work on a short term and long term basis face to face and also online where this is helpful.

I offer subsidised rates for parents and carers of neurodivergent children and adults as well as for keyworkers.

My first session

Before arranging a first session, I suggest a free initial 15 minute conversation online or by phone to discuss how we might work together.

In our first session we will explore your hopes and goals for therapy and what has brought you to therapy at this time. We will discuss what has helped you to manage up to now and how you would like your life to be.
