I work flexible hours from 7.30 am to evenings, including weekends in my garden room. Online sessions via Zoom or telephone nationwide. There is ample off road parking and a downstairs WC.

Full payment is required in advance for all booked sessions including missed appointments.
About me and my therapy practice
It is a privilege to work with you so that you can experience positive changes in your life, previously overshadowed by issues such as depression, health conditions short term and chronic, loss, bereavement, trauma, anxiety and work-related stress.
I am able to offer online video sessions by Zoom, telephone and in person.
I work with adults over 18 years old and work both short and long term depending on what issues you want to look at and what suits you best.
Making contact with me may seem daunting and it can feel like a step into the unknown. Understandably, it's not easy to trust a stranger with your innermost feelings but talking openly can make you see things in a different light and give you an understanding about yourself.
I am happy to have an initial free telephone or Zoom video discussion.
Practice description
I have trained as an Integrative Counsellor using Person Centred and Psychodynamic theory to underpin the focus of my work. This means the therapy is all about you and what you want to talk about. Together, we will explore what has brought you to counselling and how you can move on to a place where you want to be. By gaining an understanding of how your past experiences has influenced your thoughts, feelings and behaviors' can lead you to healing and change.
I update my training on a regular basis and use it in my day to day practice, adapting it to the unique needs of each client I work with. I use skills such as inner child work and creative therapy.
Prior to qualifying as a Counsellor, I worked in the NHS for over 20 years. This has helped me greatly in my understanding of the various problems we all face such as short and long term illnesses, bereavement, terminal illness and addiction. I also have an understanding about work-related stress and how this can affect you.
I empathise with any doubts and concerns you may have. We will begin gently, and by you feeling more comfortable we will move forwards at a pace that feels right for you. You will see yourself as someone that can change, even if you feel it is unchangeable. You will be accepted for who you are not who you feel you should be which is healing.

I will talk to you how I work and I will go through the practical aspects of our professional relationship.
