About me and my therapy practice
I'm a pluralistic/Integrative Psychotherapist and Trainee Counselling Psychologist. I have integrative and pluralistic training that covers a range of psychological-based therapies. My core modality is Relational Psychodynamic/ Person-centred
What that means is that I work in a way that suits you the client, taking into consideration your life, trauma, and experiences, and will help you to explore and interpret those experiences, and how those experiences continue to affect you.
I'm here to support you through life's challenges, offering a safe space to navigate issues like relationship struggles, anxiety, depression, trauma, and more.
I focus on you, your experiences, and your journey toward better mental health. Together, we'll work through these hurdles, and I'll be here every step of the way. It takes courage to seek help, and I'm glad you're considering it. Let's start this journey together toward a brighter, happier you.
Practice description
My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, non-judgment, and collaboration. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I'm committed to helping you achieve your goals and live a more fulfilling life. I work in a trauma-informed way; I am able to hold the space for you to explore and, when ready, find a way forward.
If you're interested in learning more about my services or would like to schedule a session, please don't hesitate to reach out. I look forward to working with you!
My first session
If you're considering therapy, you might wonder what to expect from your first counselling session. During our first meeting, we'll start by getting to know each other and discussing your goals for therapy. I'll ask some questions about your background, what brings you to therapy, and what you hope to get from our sessions. I'll also share some information about my approach, confidentiality and answer any questions you might have. It's normal to feel nervous or uncertain during your first session, but please know that I'm here to support you and make you feel as comfortable as possible. By the end of our first session, we'll better understand whether we're a good fit and whether therapy feels like the right choice for you. If you decide to continue with therapy, we'll schedule our next session and start working towards your goals.
