About me and my therapy practice
At times, we all experience an overwhelming sensation in our hectic daily life. During these times, there can be a sense that others around us cannot understand these feelings and we can feel alone. As an Integrative Counsellor I offer warmth and empathy giving you the time and space to talk about how you are feeling without judgement. Therapy allows you to focus on the relationship you have with yourself. Embracing self-development can lead to positive changes in other relationships in your life.
I have spent many years working in a high pressured business environment and I am all too aware of how demanding this can be with balancing family life and a career. Ultimately this can have an impact in dedicating time to focus on who you are or who you would like to be.
I am a volunteer counsellor for a charity working with individuals and their families dealing with serious illnesses.
Practice description
As an integrative counsellor I will use a range of different therapies to suit your needs as a client, recognising that we are all unique individuals on different journeys.
I am a qualified Meditation teacher accredited with the British School of Mediation and can use mindful techniques to help clients.
This includes Outdoor Walk and Talk therapy, Online and Telephone therapy.
I am fully insured and follow the BACP ethical framework.
My first session
Deciding to start therapy can bring its own emotions. Perhaps you are feeling scared, apprehensive or just unsure if therapy is the answer. To help you, I offer an initial 20 minute consultation free of charge via telephone or online so we can discuss what you would like to get from your therapy whilst also giving you the opportunity to ask questions about how our sessions would work. This allows you to consider whether therapy would benefit you personally. This session allows both of us to understand each other's needs to ensure that any future appointments are conducted to maximise the benefits of therapy.
