About me and my therapy practice
I am a down-to-earth, warm and empathetic Integrative therapist who provides an authentic and non-judgmental space for people to bring whatever challenges, difficulties and transitions they may be experiencing in their lives.
I believe the therapeutic relationship between client and therapist is one of the most fundamental parts of effective therapy. I take great care in listening to your story so that you feel safe to express your inner world, so that we may work together to find change and growth.
I offer face to face sessions to people aged 18+ from my base in South Oxfordshire OX10, as well as online to anywhere in the UK.
I am committed to offering a therapy space where all differences are welcome: such as age, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, disability, class and neurodiversity.
I offer open ended, long term counselling as well as short term time limited sessions, depending on your need.
Practice description
I completed my training in Integrative and Transpersonal Counselling at the well established Re-Vision Training Centre, in London UK recognised by both the BACP and UKCP.
I am a registered member of the BACP and abide by their code of ethics. I have regular supervision.
The term integrative therapy means I am trained in a range of therapeutic modalities to best suit each client's individual needs, such as Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Jungian, Somatic, Trauma informed and attachment based approaches.
Transpersonal means I work in a holistic and soulful way to consider all parts of you- mind, body and spirit and soul.
We could consider counselling and therapy as 'soul work'.
I will work with you to look at both the light and the dark in your life. It is all welcome.
I work in a talk based approach, but also incorporate creative elements and body based practices as well if this feels appropriate.
I always work at a pace that feels right for you.
My first session
Our first session would be a chance for us to meet and get to know a bit more about what brings you to therapy at this time.
We would discuss your hopes and fears about therapy, as well as what you would like to achieve moving forward.
It is also an opportunity for you to ask me any questions you may have and to see if I am the right fit for you.
There is no obligation to continue session if you feel I am not the right therapist for you, and I will always try and refer to a different therapist if needed.
