About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified and experienced psychodynamic psychotherapist and counsellor and I specialize in working with Adults (18+) who are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-confidence and self-esteem, family and relationship issues, trauma, anger, bereavement, amongst others. I offer a safe, non-judgmental, and empathetic therapeutic space where, through self-reflection and exploration at your own pace, you can gain the knowledge, tools and insights needed to create lasting and meaningful change.
In the psychodynamic / psychoanalytic tradition, I believe that by gaining insight into the unconscious dynamics that influence your thoughts and behaviours, you can experience lasting positive change in your emotions, confidence, relationships and mental well-being that goes beyond surface-level diagnosis and symptom management. I focus on working with you to safely explore and address deep-seated patterns that may be causing difficult emotions or preventing your from enjoying life to its fullest.
With over 20 years’ experience helping individuals achieve their personal and professional development goals as a leadership development executive, organizational psychology expert and executive coach, I deeply understand that many of the challenges people face (in our personal lives or in the workplace) are underpinned by emotional difficulties and long-established unconscious patterns and thoughts that are repeated from early life experiences. My interest and experience in helping people foster meaningful and lasting change in their wellbeing led me to undertake a Master’s Degree in psychodynamic psychotherapy and counselling.
Academic Background & Qualifications:
Masters Degree (MA with Distinction) in Psychodynamic Counselling & Psychotherapy*
Certificate in Cognitive Behavioral Coaching
Significant Ongoing Professional Development
*course name change in 2023

I work with clients that have mild to moderate mental health concerns. If you are experiencing severe mental health issues, please contact your GP or 111. If your life is at risk, please contact 999.
My first session
I offer a no-cost 20 min introductory phone call so you can share why you are looking for therapy and I can to answer any initial questions you may have before you decide to book an initial consultation.
In our first consultation session together we will review what has brought you to therapy in more detail, your personal background, and any previous therapy or counselling. It is also a chance for us to get a sense to see if you are comfortable that we we can work together, I can assess that my practice is suitable to meet your unique needs and answer any further questions you may have before progressing with your sessions.
