About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified counsellor working in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, and Ongar Essex, delivering counselling services face-to-face or online throughout the UK
People seek counselling to help them deal with the ups and downs of life. Maybe you've found yourself here because you feel stressed, anxious and overwhelmed - or due to an unexpected life event.
Life can throw us curve balls and knock us off guard, and sometimes we need a little help. Having experience working with complex issues and challenging situations with people from all backgrounds, I understand how difficult life can be.
One of the areas that I find I work with is adult survivors of childhood trauma, either from addictive parents or abuse from physical to emotional. Or even the divorce or death of a parent at a young age the impact has resulted in clients making choices based on a need to feel valid over their actual needs being met
Help starts with a conversation in a safe and confidential space. I offer an authentic therapeutic relationship where you can be yourself without judgment.
Practice description
I work with the Integrative Approach to counselling, combining several counselling theories in my style to be flexible with clients, giving them the counselling they need.
My methods centre on humanistic therapies, putting the client at the centre of the therapeutic process. People know themselves better than anyone else and may need help understanding and processing life situations.
Together, we can work on present and past events so you can clearly manage your life.
My first session
I offer a free 30-minute consultation in which we can decide if we can work together. During this time, a short assessment will take place. After this, our sessions will be either face-to-face or online. I offer long and short-term counselling. Also, I offer introductory sessions for anyone new to therapy.
