About me and my therapy practice
Hello... and thanks for stopping by. I’m Lucy, an integrative, person-centred therapist, dedicated to creating a safe and accepting space for you to explore your feelings and thoughts freely. I am compassionate, and I believe in the therapeutic relationship to promote healing, change, and hope.
I approach each session with flexibility, openness, and patience, knowing that therapy is as unique as you are. I work responsively to better understand and meet your needs.
As well as my private practice, I’m also a counsellor at the renowned mental health charity Mind.
My experience as a voice coach and meditation guide has enhanced my understanding of the body-mind connection. Getting in touch with our physical body can provide further opportunities for self-understanding and greater healing.
I realise that taking the first step to engage in therapy can be difficult. I am here to provide the support and encouragement you need to move forward.
I look forward to helping you achieve, or even surpass your expectations from your sessions with me.
Practice description
Sometimes life can be challenging. We cannot turn to friends and loved ones for fear of burdening them, and we can’t see a way through on our own. In these times it can help to share and offload the weight of what we carry with someone whose job it is to listen.
Having the space to be honest and to speak freely can help uncover what we really need. We can then work out what is important to us, and what we want to do about it. When we are able to connect to our true feelings we can begin to heal. Having someone to believe in you, and, work alongside you, can help increase your resilience and readiness for life.
What I can help with
Abuse, Anxiety, Bereavement, Chronic fatigue syndrome / ME, Depression, Health related issues, Identity issues, Loss, Neurodiversity, Obsessions, OCD, Post-traumatic stress, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Sex-related issues, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Women's issues, Work related issues
