About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I’m Ravi, and I’m a professional counsellor and psychotherapist

We all go through stressful experiences in life that might make us feel helpless, vulnerable or unsafe. These feelings are part of what makes us human, and everyone will seek to overcome their struggles in their own unique way.

As you are reading my profile, it means that you have made the decision to think about seeking support from a professional psychotherapist. As a qualified and verified counsellor and psychotherapist with 20 years’ experience of working in caring environments, I know that’s not an easy decision to make.

A lot of people find it terribly difficult to talk about things that are painful or that they perceive to be embarrassing, and I have worked successfully with many people who have presented a range of different issues.

I will walk alongside you

I offer a safe, non-judgmental space of empathy and understanding where we can work out what has happened to you. We will work together to help you understand your struggles, express your thoughts and feelings, and then explore what you discover.

On your journey to improved emotional and mental health, I will walk alongside you as you unravel the way you think about yourself and your current situation.

From my own experiences, I know that therapy can be life-changing. My passion is to enable people to live the life they choose through making positive changes and reaching their goals.

If you choose to work with me, I will use an integrative approach, that means, creatively combining a variety of theories and concepts to meet your unique needs.

Practice description

I provide counselling and psychotherapy services in English and Gujarati to adults, older adults and couples looking for support with anxiety, depression, grief, suicidal ideation, bereavement and life-limiting conditions such as cancer and disability.

If you wish to explore those feelings and experiences, I would love to hear from you. The best way to find out if we would be a good fit, is to give me a call. I don’t charge for our first 30-minute chat, when we can discuss what’s going on at the moment, and any goals you have.

I am a Leicester-based psychotherapist, and hold therapy sessions once a week. It’s up to you how we meet. We can talk face-to-face, remotely using Zoom, Teams, Google Meet or VSee, or simply by telephone.
