About me and my therapy practice

Welcome, I offer approachable and warm counselling for children from 11yrs, teens and adults. Online for over 18's and face to face. Integrative approach tailor-made to meet your needs. Morning and evening appointments available. Concessions available.

About me

As an Integrative therapist I listen, support and guide individuals to find ways to deal with the struggles they are facing. I offer a compassionate non- judgemental space where they are given time to explore their lives at their own pace. The clients I work with are given autonomy to decide what they wish to bring to each session and what kind of counselling support works for them. We are all different and therefore I do not use a one size fits all approach to counselling. Some clients like to just have a space to talk, some may want strategies to use and take home, some creative work.

I apply a variety of counselling methods and work in a flexible, reflective and collaborative way with my clients. I am led by the client needs and likes. Within a mindful and holistic space I weave together counselling theory and interventions in a tailor- made way. I believe that the client is the expert of their own life and I work hard to empower them at every step. I invite the client to set the pace so that they have a sense of being in control confidence in the process.

  • Some of the techniques I use within client work are:
  • Transactional Analysis which helps individuals to understand how to improve their communication skills.
  • Narrative therapy can support the reframing past events.
  • Attachment theory can help examine attachment style and how we are in relationship.
  • Creative techniques can support the expansion of self - awareness and sharpen clarity.
  • Mindfulness can support us to self-regulate. It can empower us to transcend limiting belief and value systems.
  • CBT can support individuals to analyse and change their thought patterns.
  • Psychological Education
