About me and my therapy practice
I'm Catherine, I have a BSc (Hons) degree in Therapeutic Counselling and would describe my approach as integrative. Talking to someone can really help, just being able to feel heard and understood by someone is a powerful feeling.
Experienced in a wide range of mental health problems, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief, bereavement and trauma therapy.
My aim is to build people up and I am committed to providing a warm safe and supportive environment. I am a compassionate, non-judgmental and kind person with a gentle voice. You do not have to be on your own with your worries and thoughts. The way I can help you is by offering another perspective and a chance to reflect and be curious looking into your past and present issues/concerns together at your own pace.
Practice description
The reason I call myself integrative is because I work in a relational way and feel that one model does not fit all.
Therefore, I draw upon a range of models such as bringing in Gestalt work when appropriate, Transactional Analysis (TA), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) whilst staying with the core conditions empathy, unconditional positive regard and congruence from the modality of Person-centred by psychologist Carl Rogers.
My first session
Sessions are 50 minutes online.
And 1 hour face to face as I allow a ten minute settling in, sort out a hot/cold drink for you..
Sessions are all £50 per session.
The first session I will run through a contract of terms and conditions/health and safety form and GDPR information and discuss your requirements.
I look forward to meeting you :-)
