About me and my therapy practice

I'm an integrative counsellor committed to offering careful and considered listening to the backdrop of professional, clinical skills and experience to curate a space for each individual. I ultimately aim to provide a natural, gentle, empathetic, professional and safe space to all who come for therapy. I'm a fully registered member of the BACP.

The human experience inevitability involves seasons of difficulty and challenge and at those times therapy is an empowering tool that helps us remember, rebuild and restore our incredible strength and capacity for resilience in the face of struggles.

Is counselling for me?

The difficulties and challenges that lead someone to seek out professional counselling are wide and varied. The complex challenges of life affect us all, whoever we are, and counselling is an empowering tool which can help us to process, cope, and even grow in these times.

I have received training with a Christian worldview but am consistently and fully open to working with people from all backgrounds and faiths.

If you have any further questions feel free to reach out for a chat on the phone about your current therapy needs!

Practice description

Training and Practice:

I am trained in a variety of modalities such as: Person-Centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Existential, Reality, Choice Theory, Gestalt, Psychodynamic, and more.

The gift of integrative therapy is in its wide and varied skill-set, which allows a therapist to employ the particular modality or intervention which best suits an individual's current needs, allowing space for the therapeutic approach to evolve with the individual's needs.

I have received specific training in working with: depression, anxiety, loss, grief, attachment wounds, identity, self-esteem, trauma, relational crises or family issues, receiving a new diagnosis (such as Autism or ADHD), facing a health diagnosis or illness (that may be your own, or perhaps that of a loved one), and challenges associated with long-term health conditions.

Collaboration, being client-led, and respecting the uniqueness and value of each individual is at the core of my practice.

My first session

I offer an initial 15 minute phone call that is free of charge, and move from that to a fuller in-person assessment appointment to establish a contract and discuss goals for the therapy journey ahead.
