About me and my therapy practice
Whatever you are going through, you don't have to be alone. Bring all of who you are and together we can sit and explore at your own pace, what is troubling you. We can begin to work out and make sense of how your past experiences of life could have created ways of thinking and beliefs about yourself and patterns of behaviour which are unhelpful for you now, causing you to seek counselling.
Making sense of what is troubling can enable you to begin to make changes and to move forward in your life.
I am interested in your story and I have been told by clients that they experience me as calm and easy to talk to without judgement.
Some clients find the presence of animals calming, helping them to feel at ease. For those clients, my 7 year old Golden Retriever Hogan is very happy to accompany us in the counselling session. He is a placid and friendly boy and passed his assessment in 2019 as a Pets as Therapy dog.
I am an integrative counsellor drawing on a range of modalities. The modalities I use are: Internal Family Systems, Gestalt, Psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness, Self Compassion, Creative interventions and imagery.
My first session
