Availability
I conduct my sessions online via Zoom and on the phone. I currently work Monday-Saturday 9am - 7pm and I have some availability within my practice. Please email me and we can try and find a suitable time.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a trained integrative therapist and have nearly 15 years of experience working in coaching and people development and more recently I have been working with MIND as an integrative therapist for clients requiring long term therapy for anxiety, depression, addiction, grief and trauma.
I can offer my clients effective short and long term individual therapy on a weekly or two-weekly basis. Short term work would normally be 6-12 weeks and this would enable us to work on specific and immediate symptoms and difficulties. Longer term work would look to explore underlying causes of distress and behavioural patterns and find ways of adjusting thinking, coping and behaving.
My Training: Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy, University of East London, MA Joint Honours Philosophy and Psychology, University of Edinburgh.
Practice description
I know that making the first step to find help can be hard. And once you have made the decision you need help - finding the right therapist can be equally daunting. But evidence shows that the relationship you establish with your therapist is one of the most important factors to influence success in therapy. I offer a free initial 30 minute session so that we can meet and decide if my services may be of use to you.
I will work with you in an integrative, flexible and solution focused way. My training means I call on the main theories of counselling including psychodynamic, person centred and CBT and then use these in a way that adapts to your needs and preferred ways of working. We will establish what changes you want to make in your life and then we will develop a shared therapeutic plan of how to achieve that change. Part of this plan will look at any obstacles you may have including coping strategies that have become problematic and/or relationship patterns that aren't working - we will then explore new ways of thinking, being and behaving to achieve positive change in your life.
My first session
Please email me so that we can establish if I have availability for times and sessions that will work for you. I offer an initial free 30 minute session so we can meet each other and explore if working together will work. You need to see if you feel comfortable with me and I need to ensure I have the right skills to support you. If, after that first session, we agree that ongoing sessions will work then we can find a day, time and frequency that will work.
