About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor and approach all clients with warmth and empathy. I offer a welcoming, safe space where clients feel comfortable exploring their inner world.
My training means I am able to draw upon various approaches to support clients through a range of difficulties in a way that best suits each individual.
Practice description
I understand that life can bring many challenges and recognises the importance of sharing these without the fear of being judged. Whilst my practice is firmly rooted in the principles of the person-centred approach, I also use psychodynamic theory to inform my work. I place great emphasis on the therapeutic relationship and believe in empowering clients to create positive, meaningful change.
I aim to support clients through the therapeutic process by allowing them to identify and investigate patterns of behaviour, thoughts and feelings. Through gaining self awareness clients can move towards a place where they are able to realise their full potential and become more aligned with their authentic selves.
I have experience working with various types of change, including loss and bereavement. Whether you're navigating a major life event such as a career shift, relocation, or change in relationship status, or dealing with the aftermath of a significant loss, I can help you through these challenges. I provide a compassionate and understanding space for you to process your emotions during times of transition.
My first session
I offer a complimentary 15 minute phone call, giving us an opportunity to connect and see if we're a good fit for working together. During this time, you can briefly share what has brought you to therapy and ask any questions you may have.
The first full session will be dedicated to exploring how we will work together, including getting to know you more and understanding your expectations for our sessions.
