About me and my therapy practice
Working through life's challenges together...
Hi, my name is Amber. I'm an integrative counsellor who personalises the sessions to meet your needs.
I understand that seeking therapy can be a significant and sometimes challenging decision, but you have already taken an important step into beginning your journey.
In our sessions, my main priority is to cultivate an environment where you feel truly heard, valued, and empowered. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, where we work side by side to identify and pursue your unique goals. My approach is all about creating a secure, supportive space and non-judgemental space, allowing you to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a way that feels comfortable for you.
I am committed to helping you make sense of your current situation and navigate the challenges you face. By understanding yourself and your past, we can better address the issues that impact your life. Therapy will help you become more self-aware and find new coping mechanisms. We will achieve this by working at your pace. My style is compassionate and client-focused, with an emphasis on building trust and establishing a strong therapeutic relationship.
Together, we will work towards meaningful change and a path forward that aligns with your values and aspirations.
If you are ready to take the first step, I am here for you. Please reach out via email, amber@relationalcounselling.co.uk or phone 07731422400

During your first session, we will spend some time getting to know each other for you to assess me and for me to understand your needs as part of your assessment.
Your assessment form, GDPR (General Data Protection Policy) and working agreement are sent digitally, for you to complete before our initial meeting. This will free up space in your session. It is equally important that you have a clear understanding of how your information is stored and shared and the limits to confidentiality as part of best practice.
In the forms you will be asked to provide some basic details which are merely routine practice. I am always happy to discuss and answer any questions to ensure you feel comfortable in therapy.
Appointments will be for 50 minutes.
This session is about getting to know each other, for me to find more about you and your needs and to share how I work.
