About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Catherine. Seeking help can be a challenge. You may be asking questions, for example: Do I need counselling? What can counselling do for me? How long will I have to have counselling for? Some people don’t think they need counselling and have the ‘get on with it’ narrative. But where does this narrative come from? Through listening and reflection I can help you make sense of where certain thoughts, feelings and behaviours may stem from. If you would like to discuss any questions you have, contact me for a no obligation 15 minute chat.
Practice description
Counselling sessions I can offer are online or telephone only at the moment. I ensure that I am in a quiet and confidential space to conduct sessions which are 50 minutes long. After our initial 15 minute chat/consultation, if you decide to go ahead and book a session we can discuss what your expectations are and what you would like to get from your sessions. There is no pressure to commit to long or short term therapy, this can be regularly reviewed to ensure you feel you are getting the best from your sessions.
My first session
I offer a free online or telephone consultation. This consultation session can be useful to help answer any questions you may have. Also, it is important that there is a connection and you feel at ease with your counsellor, therefore a short conversation might help determine if I am the right fit for you.
