About me and my therapy practice
I provide face-to-face or video sessions, for long or short term contracts.
My work has been centred on maleness.
For men I offer a thought-colleague who is non-judgemental, non-competitive and understands that we sometimes prefer to talk shoulder-to-shoulder rather than intensely face-to-face.
For women I am a man who will listen, who will talk with you, who is understanding and with whom you can feel safe in all ways. These characteristics have been missing from men in many of my female clients lives.
My first session
I start with a free assessment – this consists of an initial 20 minute phone call. This is followed by a face to face assessment. It is my ability to help you that we are assessing. The assessment is not something that you can somehow fail. In the event that we believe that I am not the person to help you then I will help you find one of my professional colleagues.

I provide face-to-face or video sessions, for long or short term contracts.
I have worked with people with historical family issues, relationship problems, OCD, ADHD, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, suicidal thoughts and survivors of domestic and sexual violence. I have also worked with men within a prison. My clients are adults of any age, sex or gender identity.
I work with any adults on many issues - many of my clients have been male, often with suicidal thoughts - these are areas I specialise in though not all of my clients are so.
Practice description
In a typical session we will talk through your thoughts and feelings on any issue you may care to talk about – this could be relationships with other people, events in the past or future, dreams you’ve had, or perhaps directly about the main issue that has brought you to therapy.
The conversation is free flowing, with no agenda or expectations – there can be no right or wrong in what is said – but with time there will be benefits.
