About me and my therapy practice
My approach to therapy is grounded in authenticity, acceptance and creating a non-judgmental and warm space between us. I see therapy as a journey of exploration into your world, and am interested in how you feel physically, mentally and spiritually. No one understands your experiences of yourself and others better than you, and my role is to undertake that journey of exploration with you, putting the pieces back together in a way that makes sense and creates understanding. Through this exploration I aim to help you live authentically, refine what really matters to you and understand what freedom and fulfilment looks like within the context of your life.
Practice description
I focus on the relationship between body, emotions, thoughts and behaviours to explore the whole spectrum of your life and your experiences. By working to understand the meaning behind your emotions and the drivers of your processes and behaviours I aim to move you towards a greater sense of fulfilment and enable healthier relationships with yourself, others and the world around you.
I also work with couples, partners, groups and families to explore issues within relationships, dynamics and communication. My practice is not prescriptive or rigid, and healing and repair can often be created when working with others and overcoming issues together.
My first session
Before committing to therapy, we will have an initial meeting (free of charge) for us to explore what you would like to work on or change. This will also help you get a sense of what therapy with me will be like. My priority is for you to feel safe, supported and understood, hence everything you share with me is confidential and handled with utmost care. We will always review after an agreed period once commencing, to see where you are in the process and what direction we feel is the healthiest and most beneficial to pursue.
