About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I am a registered counsellor with the BACP and currently nearing the end of my training to become a Counselling Psychologist with a focus in pregnancy loss related issues. I understand it can be nerve-wracking starting therapy, either for the first time or with a new therapist. I will be here to support you throughout the process.
I work using a client-led method, drawing on various approaches to create a integrative practice and providing a tailored service to match your needs. These approaches include person-centered, CBT, psychodynamic, systemic and third-wave CBT. My ethos is that effective therapy stems from a good therapeutic relationship.
I have been providing counselling services for a number of years now in many different settings giving me a wide range of experience. My primary area of focus is working with those affected by pregnancy loss, including miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion and unsuccessful IVF attempts. This is the area of my doctoral thesis, and an area which I am very passionate about.
I have a bachelors degree in psychology and education, a master's degree in psychology in education and a professional certificate in counselling studies. I've worked in charity settings and within the NHS. Areas that I have expertise in include feelings of depression, anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, self-esteem and more.
I offer an inclusive practice that welcomes all.
