About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Belinda, an older, experienced counsellor working in Southend-On-Sea, Essex, & online throughout the UK.
I enjoy counselling, and love working with people where I will give space to develop our therapeutic relationship so you feel able to share whatever is on your mind.
As an older therapist, I have personal experience of many life issues, including, grief, loss, despair, relationship struggles, anxiety, fear, loss of direction, childbirth, raising a family, insecurity in a variety of forms, ageing, menopause, and more. I believe in the power of sharing your thoughts and fears, joys and uncertainties.
I will support you, meeting you wherever you are in life.
You can choose to have one session a week, or, if it suits you to have sessions every two weeks, I can tailor this to you.
Sometimes, monthly or ad-hoc counselling can be just what you're looking for, & if this is something you'd like, the sessions can be more solution-focused & goal-orientated.
I am a Person-Centred counsellor, placing you at the centre of each session, & you decide what you would like to focus on. I do sometimes integrate other techniques such as goal-setting, Mindfulness, & Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
