About me and my therapy practice

Hi I'm Alice, I am a BACP registered Integrated Therapist and I work with both adults and young people age 13+. My counselling style is supportive and lead by you. Therapy with me is a place to be really heard. I listen carefully as we explore your concerns and difficulties in a truly safe space. It will be engaging, productive and a place you can gain true insight into yourself. Ultimately we will always be guided by you, because I really believe you know yourself best.

Sometimes talking might feel too much and as a Trauma informed Therapist I believe we can also approach our work together using a whole body approach, meaning I believe we can to do more than talk about what happened for you to feel relief. I will work to help you feel safe and feel more in control of overwhelming feelings. I will show you how your brain and body interact in times of stress and how you can help yourself heal.

If your feeling anxious, lost or low, let's have a introductory call to see if I might be the right person to support you on your journey to healing.

Practice description

As a creative therapist we can work in a variety of ways to help you process difficult experiences or feelings. Clients might say to me "I just need to get out of my head" and that's exactly what creative or somatic work can help you with. I believe that therapy can be informative and I can help you to understand why you might react in some situations which cause you distress. Once there is understanding clients can feel relief and feel more in control.

Ultimately we are guided by what you want to focus on and I do my best to provide a non-judgemental, supportive space for you to explore what's troubling you.

I have rooms in both Olney and Aspley Guise - Milton Keynes and also enjoy working online so there are lots of ways that we can make contact and work together.

My first session

I offer a free 30 minute phone call to understand what you are hoping to get from counselling, I will explain my approach and you will have the chance to ask any questions you might have.

After that, our first session is about giving you a chance to start exploring your concerns. We will get to know each other and you have time to see if you feel comfortable and there is a "click" with me. Feeling supported and listened to is so important in therapy, and I will aim to make you feel as comfortable as possible so we can start the work feeling as safe as possible.

If you then want to proceed, we will meet weekly at the same time and place for however long you need, and we will have regular reviews to see how you are feeling about the work. We can discuss this when we begin. Each session lasts 50 minutes and costs £50.

I also believe in supporting the environment and aim to be carbon neutral in my work,  in order to achieve this I work with a local charity to offset my and my clients carbon footprint as a result of our sessions together.
