About me and my therapy practice
We all need help and support when things get tough.
Sometimes life just feels difficult or painful, you may feel heavy hearted, deflated, depressed, anxious, lost, the light at the end of the tunnel is just not there to see and you don't know how to make changes to feel different. In my experience having someone to talk to who listens, understands, and supports you, is the start to making the changes needed for you to feel different/better. To not only seeing the light at the end of the dark tunnel but actually reaching it and stepping into it.
Practice description
As an integrative counsellor I work drawing from different theories which are Person Centred, CBT (cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Transactional Analysis and Psychodynamic. This means I have several tools in my toolbox to help me to best meet your individual needs. I believe in fostering a safe, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic relationship where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences with honesty and vulnerability.
I offer a safe, confidential space where you can be free to feel and trust in the work we do together. I am a member of of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) which means I work to a high professional standard, abide by their ethical framework and commit to keeping my clients at the forefront of the work we do together.
My practice is grounded in empathy, acceptance, and non-judgment. I prioritize creating a warm and welcoming environment where you feel seen, heard, and understood. Together, we will explore your concerns, identify patterns, and develop strategies to facilitate positive change and personal transformation. Guiding and supporting you (to dig a little) Towards Healing, and Transformation.
I have worked with a wide range of issues and challenges that people have brought to counselling and also have significant experience working in an agency with survivors of sexual assault and domestic abuse.
