About me and my therapy practice

I am a fully qualified integrative therapist who has also undertaken further training to work with couples.

Therapy offers a safe and confidential space to explore difficult issues and find resolutions through insight, discussion, and reflection.

In relationships, it’s common for things to feel unbalanced, especially as life changes. Perhaps your partnership no longer feels fulfilling:

Life has shifted after having children, and you’re seeking to reconnect with your partner.

You find it hard to communicate your needs, wants, or desires, or you feel like your partner no longer hears you.

The distance between you both feels too wide, and reconnecting seems impossible.

The excitement and fun from earlier in your relationship have faded, and you long to rekindle the spark.

You may be considering ending the relationship but want to do so in a way that respects and honours what you once had.

It’s not uncommon to feel hopeless or unsure when seeking couples therapy. Questions like “How did it get this bad?” or “Can we fix things?” are common. You might also wonder if things can ever be the same or better again.

Relationship counselling can help you in three key ways:

Explore the full experience of your relationship, even the uncomfortable parts.

Acknowledge the current state of your relationship and what needs to change.

Learn how to communicate constructively, building stronger relational resilience for the future.

Throughout this process, I’ll provide guidance tailored to your unique needs. Together, we’ll uncover a deeper understanding of what needs to change to build new common ground, and practice real-life skills to handle future challenges even after our work together ends.

Practice description

Is there a particular aspect of relationship counselling you’d like to explore or discuss further? Or maybe a question about how it might help in specific situations? The emotional difficulty that comes with navigating challenges in a relationship is a very real experience for many people. It can feel daunting when things aren’t the way they once were, or when you’re struggling to reconnect or communicate effectively. I offer a non judgemental neutral third party presence to look at whats happening between you together. During the first session we’ll explore why you’re attending couples therapy, what you hope to get out of the time together and what each of you are willing to do change your current situation. We’ll meet weekly for 50 minutes at a time. Our time together can be open ended or we can commit to a certain number of sessions.
