About me and my therapy practice
My name is Laura and I am a registered member of the BACP and a Person Centred Counsellor. I work on a one to one level with each client and support each person with their presenting issues.
Life is extremely difficult and challenging at times and I believe that therapy is so important in order to process your inner thoughts and feelings about what is affecting you. It enables us to overcome any difficulties we have. We are all human and it is ok to seek help when we are struggling in order to improve our own mental health.
I offer a safe space in a calm, non judgemental environment, where you can explore your true thoughts and feelings with my support.
Practice description
I offer sessions online via Zoom and on the phone to suit your needs.
I am client led which means that I am guided by you, which will decide your therapy outcomes. I believe that each client is unique and important. Each person matters and every situation is valid. Whilst I won't tell you what to do, I will support you to find coping mechanisms in order to move forward positively.
My specialist interests and experience are working with bereavement and loss, anxiety, autism, parents of neurodiverse children and those with health needs.
My first session
I offer a 15 minute introductory phone call on booking to briefly discuss your presenting issues, the therapy process and personal goals. We can also decide on the how you would like the session delivered for example online via Zoom or by phone. I can then arrange for contractual paperwork to be completed.
In the first session, it is our opportunity to get to know each other, discuss contractual arrangements and for me to answer any questions that you may have. We can then complete any initial assessments and confirm your therapuetic goals for the therapy process.
Sessions are 50 minutes in length
