Counselling can help you to feel better and move forward in your life. You are invited to be who you are, explore at depth your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours freely being listened to empathically and empowered.
About myself. I have always been interested in people, their motivation, behaviours, drivers and after graduating from University and working in different corporate companies overseas I started my journey to become a psychotherapist. I have always been passionate about helping others and hold a strong belief that everyone has the inner strength and capacity to maintain their own wellbeing and find their path to becoming the best person they potentially can be and achieve their goals in life, with some help.
I received a post graduate Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and completed numerous professional development courses to become a practitioner who I am now.
These days I have my own private practice and I provide counselling services to charity sector alongside of it. I also work as a school counsellor.
Practice description
I am an Integrative Counsellor and as such I use different models in helping the client with their issues, which enables me to tailor my approach to meet individual client’s needs. I believe that an open and trustworthy therapeutic relationship are essential to facilitate the change and enhance wellbeing therefore our collaboration is paramount as it will enable us to explore and work through your issues aiming to achieve better outcome.
I apply theories and principles of Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Transactional Analysis (TA) in my practice. I also use tools from Gestalt approach and Therapeutic Coaching whenever necessary.
Counselling is about change, and we will work together to make that change to happen and experience the difference in your life whatever it will be. Ultimately, you will become aware of choices available and develop new ways of behaviour which will enable you to grow your confidence, become more adaptive, resilient and lead to more balanced and fulfilled life.
As a member of BACP, I am trained in and have experience in working with numerous issues such as depression and anxiety, suicidal ideation, childhood trauma, bereavement and loss, menopause, low self-esteem, historical abuse, relationship issues, challenges of immigration, work-related issues, body image, shame, boundaries, attachment, ADHD, BPD, etc. I am constantly enhancing my knowledge and experience through continuous professional development.
My therapy room is in the heart of Stockport, Manchester at Labyrinth Business Centre, where we can meet face-to-face. I provide remote support through video or telephone calls to wherever you are in the world. If you would like to experience sessions in nature, we can meet outside for walk-and-talk therapy.
My standard fees are £55 per session, I can provide concession fees and we can make arrangements depending on your financial circumstances.
My first session
I offer a complimentary 20-min initial consultation where I will invite you to share what has brought you to counselling to understand how best I can help you.
During the first session I will be aiming to find out more about you and how we can work together. We will possibly set a few points to focus on to achieve the best outcome. I will also be conducting some assessments to monitor your progress.
The following sessions are 50 min long and can be extended to one and a half session and subject to availability.
