About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I’m Joyti (or Joy for short) an integrative psychotherapist and Founder of Joy Wellbeing. I provide a supportive space for individuals to reclaim the life they want through positive, solution-focused conversations.

Life can become overwhelming as we juggle multiple demands, navigate a work-life balance and attempt to prioritise self-care. Sometimes, we need to pause, bring self-compassion to where we’re at, and focus on the life we truly want to create positive change.

In just a few therapy sessions, I can help you to feel better and start moving toward the life you hope for. Through conversation, I guide you to discover your own solutions that work best for you in a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space.

I work in a person centred approach, which means it's all about you and what feels right for you to discuss and use the time for.

I am trained integrative so I can combine approaches to suit your needs but I mainly incorporate solution focused techniques.

Solution focused involves exploring the present and future, noticing when things work well and often exploring more solutions than the problem itself. 

I offer a discounted packages of either 4 or 8 sessions.

Who are you?

My name is Joyti and I work using a Person-Centred approach. This means I aim to create a safe, non-judgemental and supportive space which focuses on you and your story. You are the expert on your life. To support this, I work in a solution focused way. This means I help clients work towards change by finding out what their best hopes are, understanding what solutions are already working and noticing your strengths.

My approach

I am trained as an integrative psychotherapist (which means I can adapt and integrate any approaches that are best suited to the client). This means I am flexible in my approach. I mainly integrate the person centred approach with solution focused techniques. I am also interested in compassion focused therapy, which aims to help explore how to be kind and compassionate towards yourself. 

My first session

Overview of what the first session may cover:

  • Understand what you would like to get from working together/best hopes and how you would know if things are different
  • Chat about your ideal day/living the life you want and understand where you are now and what's working well
  • Explore discuss your strengths, things you are proud of, things that are working well and using them to help you find your solutions.

Following sessions:

  • Explore what's been better since we last spoke, how you managed that
  • Discuss signs of progress (small things aligning to your best hopes/goals)
  • If things haven't been better, how you managed that too
