About me and my therapy practice
I am an Integrative counsellor, employing a blend of different theories and approaches to support you in finding the most suitable way forward. I believe in the power of healing through relationships and endeavour to provide a safe and nurturing environment for you to explore your challenges.
Before becoming a therapist, I managed a supported living care home and worked as a support worker with adults and youths with learning disabilities. This experience illustrated to me that the most valuable learning occurs when individuals feel listened to and respected. I bring this non-judgmental attitude to my therapeutic work.
I am deeply committed to assisting those who have undergone loss, and I specialise in bereavement and loss counselling. Throughout the years, I have dedicated myself to helping numerous clients navigate the complex emotions associated with grief. My extensive experience in bereavement services has equipped me with the skills and understanding necessary to create a safe and supportive environment in which clients can openly explore their feelings of hurt and pain. By offering compassion and empathy in my practice, I acknowledge that the grieving process is unique to each person and that there is no "right" way to grieve. It is normal to experience both good and bad days, and I encourage my clients to honour their journey by taking the time they need to heal. My approach is grounded in the belief that recognising and processing these emotions is a crucial step toward finding peace and acceptance.
"The light at the end of the tunnel is your life, it’s the tunnel that is temporary”
