About me and my therapy practice
It can be difficult to find the courage to reach out for help during our most vulnerable moments. I am passionate about promoting mental health resilience, and my practice is to support and offer, an open, trusting and safe environment for your counselling journey.
Hello, my name is Hazel (She/Her). I am a qualified Humanistic counsellor based in Sussex. I hold a BA (Hons) in Humanistic Counselling from the University of Chichester, and I am experienced in offering short-term and open-ended individual therapy.
I am a compassionate counsellor grounded in the Person-Centred approach, which believes that each person is unique, and has the resources within us to find the best way forward during difficult circumstances.
I offer a safe, warm, confidential space for you to explore your feelings and experiences, and hopefully express things which are troubling you in a non-judgmental or critical atmosphere. I believe that counselling should be at your pace, and I draw upon various approaches which best fit your individual needs. I have additional training in Solution Focused Brief Therapy and creative approaches such as drawing, writing, clay work, or sand tray therapy.
