Availability

I am available to accept new face-to-face or remote clients within my private practice.

Hi, I’m Lisa, a humanistic and integrative counsellor and psychotherapist who works with individuals. Are you seeking support, experiencing feelings of dissatisfaction in your life or relationships, grappling with the weight of your past, or facing the challenges of depression or anxiety? I provide a safe, nurturing, and empathic environment to help you explore your concerns.

The areas of abuse and neurodiversity are of particular interest to me. If you are in an abusive relationship or have recently left one, you may need support as you navigate the challenges ahead. There may be a history of abusive relationships in your past that you wish to process to break the cycle. It may be that you suspect you have ADHD and would like to feel supported whilst you process this and/or consider seeking a diagnosis,  you may have been diagnosed with ADHD and would like to explore the impact of the diagnosis on your life.

A broad spectrum of concerns can be addressed through my therapeutic approach, including, but not limited to, ADHD, anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, self-harm and suicide ideation, grief and loss, kinks and different types of relationships, gender identity, relationship difficulties, parenting concerns, postnatal depression, the experience of sexual abuse, incest, coercive control, gaslighting, domestic abuse, and violence.

Please refer to the full list of areas I work with.

My practice is conveniently located within Edwinstowe House, easily accessible by car or public transportation with complimentary parking.

Additionally, I have availability for remote sessions ensuring flexibility to accommodate your needs. Appointments are available from Tuesday to Friday.

About me and my therapy practice

For the past few years as a counsellor and psychotherapist, my primary focus has been on supporting individuals who have been impacted by sexual abuse or incest. Additionally, I have experience providing therapy to young adults within an educational setting. In my previous role within the health and social care sector, I honed my expertise in addressing a wide range of mental health needs, including those of adults with ASD and ADHD.

I firmly believe in the healing power of a secure therapeutic relationship, which I am committed to developing with you. I offer you my authentic self and I look forward to discovering your authentic self. I work with the mind and the body, believing that memories are not just stored in our mind but also held within our body and that the greatest level of healing occurs when we integrate these aspects of self.

I am committed to assisting cis, trans, and non-binary people of all genders to explore their identity and discover their authentic selves.

I support body positivity, health at every size and intuitive eating, and I am happy to integrate this into our work.
