About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Jules and I'm a psychotherapist, counsellor and coach with a focus on neurodiversity. My support is tailored to your specific needs, whether you’re navigating a particularly challenging personal or work situation, pursuing defined goals or exploring aspects of your past and personality. I offer a Personal Consultancy approach, which means that I can integrate elements of coaching with more traditional counselling and psychotherapy as required. This enables us to work together to navigate through your experiences and, when you’re ready, embrace a future-oriented, solution-focused path, at a pace that feels right for you.
I specialise in providing support to neurodivergent individuals (conditions including autism, ADHD, dyspraxia and dyslexia) and their families and I also have an understanding of disability and working with caregivers. My perspective is deeply rooted in my own familial experience of autism and complemented by an ongoing academic research project focused on the workplace experiences of neurodivergent individuals.
Drawing from my leadership roles in the brand/corporate film industry, where I mentor and guide others, my combination of training and professional experience allows me to adapt to your needs as we progress and to offer a truly unique approach.
Practice description
Choosing the right therapist for you is important, so I offer a no-obligation, 15-20 minute call with me to find out if we’re a good fit. After that, if you choose to go ahead, we can book in our first session and make a plan based on what you’d like to get from your therapy. I offer sessions in person in a lovely space in NW5, it's close to the Highgate side of Hampstead Heath. I have another space in West Hampstead NW6 where I also see clients in person and which is wheelchair accessible if needed. I also offer walk and talk sessions on Hampstead Heath and in nearby parks. Additionally I offer online if preferred.
I specialise in neurodiversity and I am also accredited by RNIB as a sight loss counsellor. I extend my support to family members and caregivers, offering assistance to those dealing with various conditions, including neurominorities and other disabilities. I spent five years working with young people (16-25), on a crisis helpline, and I am also attuned to the challenges and experiences of being a parent.
My first session
Our first session will be a chance to look at your current situation your past and your lived experience. Together we'll explore your unique perspective and I'll get a sense of how you see the world. We'll also explore what you'd like to gain from therapy. I use the Personal Consultancy approach so we can concentrate on the past and helping you to understand how you have got to where you are, or focus more on the future - sometimes it will be a bit of both and throughout our sessions we may move between focussing on what's happening with you right now, making sense of that and putting solutions in place for the areas that are important to you. This can include but isn't limited to, areas like work, relationships, study and family.
What I can help with
Abuse, ADD / ADHD, AIDS/HIV, Anger management, Anxiety, Autism spectrum, Bereavement, Business coaching, Cancer, Career coaching, Child related issues, Chronic fatigue syndrome / ME, Coaching supervision, Cultural issues, Depression, Development coaching, Disability, Executive coaching, Health related issues, Identity issues, Infertility, Leadership coaching, LGBTQ+ counselling, Life coaching, Loss, Menopause, Mood disorder, Neurodiversity, Obsessions, OCD, Personal development, Phobias, Post-traumatic stress, Pregnancy related issues, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Sensory impairment, Service veterans, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues
