About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Jasveen
MBACP Counsellor & Psychotherapist | Based in Twickenham / St Margaret's
I offer a warm, supportive, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions, reconnect with yourself, and move towards meaningful change. I believe that regardless of our past or current circumstances, we all hold the capacity for growth, healing, and transformation.
As your therapist, I’m here to walk alongside you—not to fix or direct—but to support you in discovering your own inner voice. Through thoughtful questioning and deep listening, I help you uncover insights, develop resilience, and foster personal understanding.
About me:
Before training as a therapist, I spent over 20 years in a leadership role within the airline industry. This chapter of my life, combined with a personal journey of self-discovery and a deep curiosity about human behaviour, led me to the world of therapy. My professional and life experience continues to shape my understanding of people, cultures, connection, and the complexities of life transitions.
I am multilingual in Hindi, Punjabi, and Swahili, and while I welcome elements of these languages in our conversations, all therapy sessions are in English.
What I can help with:
I offer support to individuals facing a wide range of challenges some of these include: Grief, loss, bereavement, relationship difficulties, childhood traumas, parenting struggles, loneliness, anxiety, panic, low self-esteem, the stress around cost of living, redundancy, victims of fraud / scam, parts of self, plural identity and various other concerns.
Additionally, I have extensive experience supporting individuals navigating the emotional impact of health diagnosis such as menopause, peri-menopause, baby loss as well as conditions such as cancer & dementia.
I do not provide couples therapy or counselling for children as it requires specialized qualifications.
Practice description
- BSc ( Hons ) in Person-Centred Pluralistic Counselling & Psychotherapy (Advanced Practitioner) - Level 6 BACP accredited qualification - Middlesex University.
- Diploma in Pluralistic Person-Centred Advanced Practitioner Counselling awarded by Metanoia Institute, London.
My therapeutic approach combines Person-centred and Pluralistic theories, recognizing and respecting the uniqueness of each individual. Within my practice, I incorporate creative, sand tray and expressive techniques providing them as options for individuals who may benefit from them. There is no pressure to engage in these techniques if they do not resonate with your preferences or therapeutic goals.
My experience spans both short-term and long-term therapy with clients across a range of settings, including low-cost counselling services, previously volunteered as a counsellor at The Mulberry Centre, and my own private practice.
I actively participate in supervision and continuously enhance my professional skills for our collaborative work.
What else I offer:
Tree of life workshops - if this is of interest please do not hesitate to email me.
