About me and my therapy practice
I work from a purpose built therapy room in my garden, the room is comfy, discreet, welcoming and situated in Whitwick, North West Leicestershire. Whitwick is close to Coalville, Ashby De-La Zouch, Loughborough and surrounding villages. I am a qualified Person-centered counsellor , with a qualification in Trauma - Informed Practise.
I have over 25 years of experience in the NHS with both children and adults along with my experience in education with profoundly disabled adults and their carers. I have drawn upon these experiences, bringing a wealth of knowledge to my practice.
I prioritise making sure that every individual feels genuinely heard and understood. My sincere passion also drives me to enable others to reach a place where they feel whole and not weighed down with self doubt, low self esteem and feel more able to express themselves authentically. I create a safe and supportive space for individuals on their personal growth and healing journey, rooted in empathy, respect, and a strong commitment to empowering individuals. I recognise and respect the unique experiences and challenges that each person brings.
Through our relationship, we work together to help you find a life that is more fulfilling and less controlled by the effects of your trauma.
Practice description
The purpose of my counselling is to offer a confidential, respectful, and dignified service to enable clients to make the changes they desire. I understand that sharing personal matters can be intimidating. My aim is to provide a non-judgmental environment where you can freely express your thoughts and emotions without fear of criticism. My core belief is in the transformative power of counselling. I am devoted to helping clients explore and overcome the impact of their experiences. Together, we can navigate a path towards healing, personal growth, and creating a positive and fulfilling life.My first session
I understand that seeking therapy for the first time can be daunting. To provide reassurance or answer any questions about our session, I offer a free 30-minute initial assessment session to allow us to see if we are a right fit for each other. This can be done online, face to face or via the telephone.
