About me and my therapy practice
People turn to therapy for many reasons and find that it can help with
• Feeling less anxious and less stressed
• Cultivating better personal and work life relationships
• Improving confidence and self-esteem
As a person-centred therapist I believe that the key to change lies within us, but we often may need the help of another in understanding and finding ourselves.
Practice description
You may be seeking counselling for many reasons – a sudden crisis, a long-term difficulty or simply a sense of being overwhelmed by life. I believe counselling is about giving you a safe place in which to explore your distress in the company of a warm, empathic, non-judgemental therapist.
I have significant experience in providing therapy both in my private practice and through various community-based services across London, with a wide range of issues including:
depression / anxiety / bereavement / loneliness / burnout and work-stress / relationship problems / illness / childhood trauma / ADHD / abuse / sexual, gender, cultural identity.
I worked as a teacher with children and young adults for many years. At a deep level I know that the most valuable learning happens when people feel heard and valued. I bring this insight into my therapeutic work.
My first session
I offer a free 20-minute phone or zoom consultation. You can use this time to ask me any questions you may have about therapy, or maybe to discuss what it is you hope to achieve from our sessions together. Through this you will get a better sense of whether this is right for you.
