About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I'm Nicola.

Life can be tough.  As a qualified Integrative Therapeutic counsellor, I would like to offer you a confidential and compassionate space to feel heard and understood.

Perhaps worries are keeping you up at night or you feel plagued by negative thoughts.

Or maybe you feel stuck or lost.

Perhaps past experiences are still affecting you and now feels like the right time to break free.

Maybe it seems as if no-one understands what you are going through.

You may be going through a particularly challenging time right now and just feel you need someone to talk to.

During our work together, my role is to listen to whatever you wish to share and to support you in finding the answers and solutions you seek.

I aim to assist you in achieving more balance, self-understanding and harmony in your life.

I have extensive experience supporting clients with:

• Anxiety

• Low Mood, Sadness, Depression, Numbness

• Stress, Tension

• Low Self-esteem/Self-confidence

• Relationship difficulties

• Setting boundaries

• Traumatic Events (Recent and Past)

• Childhood trauma

• Guilt

• Anger

• Bereavement and other forms of loss

I have specialist training in Grief Counselling, having spent 2 years working at St Christopher's supporting clients with Complex or Long-term Grief as well as other forms of loss (loss of relationship, employment, identity).

Practice description

As a CPCAB qualified Therapeutic Counsellor, my work integrates a Person-Centred approach with Psychodynamic, Attachment and Somatic theories and techniques.  I offer talking therapy as well as several creative therapies and am also IFS (Internal Family Systems) informed.

My role is to help you discover the roots of what troubles you and to explore what you truly want and need in life....and how you could achieve that.  Greater awareness and understanding of our thoughts, feelings and behaviour gives us the opportunity to begin the process of change.

If you would like to see if my service is right for you, please get in touch.  We can arrange a free 15 minute phone call to discuss how we might work together and what approach feels right for you.

Once we begin, our counselling sessions will be 50 minutes and will take place on the same time/day every week.  This can be short or longer term, depending on your needs.
