About me and my therapy practice
Hi, my name is Nat and I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor based in Hertfordshire. I offer in-person, telephone and online counselling.
I am honest, open, caring and compassionate and commit to working closely alongside you to offer my support to gently explore the challenges you are facing. I will listen thoughtfully and carefully to your individual needs and work with you to support you to better understand yourself and any difficulties you may be facing.
I work with a range of issues including depression, anxiety, stress and loss in all its many forms - from bereavement to loss of job, home, marriage, or children leaving home to loss of self, faith, identity and more…
In addition to my private practise I also volunteer as a bereavement counsellor at Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care in Watford, Herts and support clients in their NHS Talking Therapies for Anxiety and Depression Service (formerly known as IAPT).
I have been trained as an integrative counsellor, which means I am able to draw on my knowledge of a number of therapeutic methods to inform and enhance our work together. I am, however, primarily a person centred counsellor, which means that I wholeheartedly believe that by offering you a genuine, caring environment, where you won’t be judged, I can help to support you to better understand yourself and the problems you are facing - by truly listening and hearing you.
I fully appreciate that it can be daunting taking that first step towards seeking support, whether you are new to counselling or looking to return by finding a new counsellor. If you get a feeling from reading this that you might be comfortable talking with me please do get in touch by telephoning and we can talk through what you are looking for and what support I might be able to offer. There is absolutely no obligation to book a session. My intention is to respond to all enquiries left by email, text or voicemail promptly within 24 hours.
Practice description
Appointments are offered online or by telephone, and are held at weekly intervals. Sessions last for 50 minutes.
My first session
You can contact me by email at natalie.leslie@aol.com or by telephoning or messaging me on 07311 631596. My intention is to respond to all enquiries promptly within 24 hours.
Following a brief telephone introduction chat, I offer a 30 minute telephone call for us to think about what has brought you to seek counselling at this time in your life, for me to share how I might be able to support you, and for us to consider together whether it would be helpful for us to work together. It is also an opportunity to ask any questions and enable you to decide if we are a good match. There is no charge for this, and you are under no obligation to book a session.
On agreeing to work together, I will email you a contract outlining our working agreement, including confidentiality (and limits), for you to read and sign to confirm your understanding and agreement, before we start working together.
