About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Callum and it’s nice to meet you. I am a neurodivergent Counsellor and as such I particularly excel in supporting and connecting to young people, especially those who are or identify as neurodiverse.
Having worked in the charity sector within Manchester for years. I want to make sure that you feel supported and informed; below is what you can expect with how I run my practice.
I can offer you a free 15-minute consultation prior to the first session, the consultation can be over the phone, WhatsApp or by text. This gives us the opportunity to ask each other questions and explore whether we would feel comfortable working with each other. If not, I can provide signposting to the right service.
Session's are 50 minutes long and are scheduled on the same day and time during the week. I also offer Saturday sessions for an additional fee. A brief review will take place on every 6th session to assess your progress and ensuring that the sessions are meeting your needs. I offer face to face sessions, over the phone or on Zoom.
• The first session will be charged at a reduced rate of £30
• Following sessions will be charged at £50
• Saturday sessions are charged at £60
• You can book 6 sessions in advance at a discounted rate of £275 / £325 respectively
I firmly believe in your capacity to grow and overcome the challenges you are facing. I offer a non-judgemental and safe space where you can explore your own going experiences; building a sense of awareness that leads to your own empowerment on life.
Practice description
In my counselling practice, I prioritize creating a safe, empathetic space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is key to healing, and I work with you to build a trusting and non-judgmental environment where you feel comfortable being your true self. Together, we will explore the challenges you are facing, with the goal of deepening your self-awareness and understanding the underlying issues that may be contributing to your current difficulties.
My approach is flexible and tailored to your needs. For those seeking deeper work, we can delve into the patterns, relationships, or past experiences that may be affecting you today, helping you unlock insights that lead to lasting change. Alternatively, if you're looking for more immediate support, I can offer solution-focused strategies and tools that can help you manage present difficulties, such as stress, anxiety, or relationship challenges.
Throughout our work together, my role is to help you discover your inner strengths, navigate your emotions, and empower you to make meaningful choices. Whether we are working through long-term personal growth or focusing on short-term goals, the process is about guiding you to feel more in control of your life. Together, we will explore different perspectives, break down obstacles, and find strategies that work best for you, ultimately helping you move toward a more fulfilling and authentic version of yourself.
My first session
In your first session, the focus is on creating a space where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. It’s a chance for us to explore what brings you to counselling and to start identifying the goals you want to achieve. Together, we’ll establish a clear structure for our sessions, making sure they fit your needs and schedule. Confidentiality is key, so you can feel secure knowing that everything shared is treated with the utmost care and privacy.
As we explore your needs, we’ll begin developing a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your goals, whether you're seeking short-term, solution-focused support or deeper, long-term self-exploration. This plan will guide our work together, ensuring that each session is tailored to help you make meaningful progress in a safe, supportive environment.
