About me and my therapy practice
I am a Gestalt Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, MBACP, offering weekly in-person and online therapy sessions in English and Italian.
You might be here because you are experiencing emotional difficulties, struggling with stress or relationships. You might be feeling like your life doesn’t correspond to you anymore and you’re not sure where to start to make changes. Or you might be trying to find your own voice or to navigate major life transitions.
Whatever the reason bringing you here, I offer you a safe and confidential space, where you can feel heard and supported in exploring any issue that matters to you.
Practice description
In my work with you, I will focus on expanding your awareness, as I am convinced this is key to living more fully and to making the changes you wish to make. By working collaboratively with you, I will help you identify unhelpful patterns, and develop new resources and behaviours.
I adopt a Gestalt approach, grounded in a holistic view of the human being as a whole of mind, body and environment. This enables me to include a sensitivity to embodied, social and cultural aspects into my practice.
Depending on your interests, you will have the opportunity to use creative methods of exploration of the themes that you wish to bring into therapy, from the use of imagery to attending to body movements and sensations.
My qualification and experience
I hold a Clinical Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapeutic Counselling.
My experience includes offering counselling and psychotherapy both privately and within an NHS setting and working both on an open-ended and short-term basis.
Alongside my work as a therapist, I lead a team of counsellors within an NHS IAPT service.
My first session
During your first session, we will explore the reasons why you are seeking therapy at this time in your life, your goals and expectations, and how I can help you.
You will have the opportunity to ask questions about how I work and to get a sense of what it would be like to start this journey together.
We will dedicate some time to clarify the practical aspects of therapy, including whether you're looking for a short-term or open-ended therapeutic contract.
