About me and my therapy practice
I use an integrative approach, which means that I draw on a variety of therapeutic modalities to attune my work to each client’s specific goals and challenges. Depending on the client and their needs, I may incorporate elements of systemic therapies (such as narrative therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, emotionally focused therapy), psychodynamic approach, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), relational and integrative psychotherapy into our work together.
My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, non-judgment, and respect for your unique experiences and perspectives. I aim to provide a tailored approach to therapy that best meets the needs of my clients. In our work together, we will explore many facets of your life, including your relationships, family dynamics, and personal experiences, to gain a deeper understanding of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Through our collaborative efforts, we will work to identify patterns and beliefs that may be hindering your growth and well-being, and develop strategies for positive change. I believe in the power of a strong therapeutic relationship, and strive to create a safe space where you can feel comfortable sharing your innermost thoughts and feelings. Whether you are looking to address specific challenges or gain greater insight into yourself and your relationships, I am here to support you every step of the way. Together, we will embark on a journey towards greater self-awareness, healing, and personal growth.
Practice description
Drawing on my specialised training and years of experience, I am committed to providing compassionate and effective therapy to all of my clients.
I have been practising psychotherapy for over eight years, and I currently manage my own private practice in Notting Hill. In addition to my private practice, I gained extensive experience working at Angels – Zagreb, a non-profit multidisciplinary therapy centre in Croatia, from 2011 to 2016. During my time at Angels – Zagreb, I provided both counselling and neurotherapy (neurofeedback) to clients of all ages who were facing various challenges such as anxiety, depression, sleep problems, and neurodevelopmental conditions such as autism, ADHD, and epilepsy.
My work at Angels – Zagreb was incredibly rewarding, both personally and professionally. Through my experiences, I learned the importance of building strong therapeutic relationships with clients, as well as the value of evidence-based therapies in achieving meaningful outcomes. These lessons have stayed with me throughout my career, and continue to inform my approach to therapy today.
In Zagreb, Croatia, I had the privilege of volunteering as a therapist with two organisations. At Circles, a non-profit organisation dedicated to helping individuals with chronic health conditions, I provided individual therapy to clients who were struggling with a range of challenges. At the Sisters of Charity teaching hospital, I had the opportunity to assist with multi-family group therapy sessions focused on addiction-related issues. My experiences as a volunteer therapist in Zagreb were incredibly rewarding and taught me a great deal about the power of therapy to promote healing and transformation.
Maintaining high standards of practice is a top priority for me, and I take this responsibility seriously. As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I follow their rigorous code of ethics and professional standards.
My first session
Therapy can benefit anyone who wants to improve their mental health and well-being. If you’re struggling with difficult emotions, relationship problems, stress, anxiety, depression, or other mental health issues, therapy may be a good option for you. I can help you identify and address the underlying causes of your problems, develop coping strategies, and achieve your goals. Certain clients seek therapy in order to address issues related to personal growth or self-improvement, with the goal of living a more fulfilling life.
During your first therapy session, you can expect to talk about your reasons and goals for seeking therapy. I will ask you questions about your background, your current situation, and your emotional state. This initial session is an opportunity for you to get to know me, and determine if we’re a good fit for working together.
If you’re unsure whether therapy is right for you, feel free to book a 20-minute online consultation to discuss your concerns and ask any questions you may have about the therapy process or my approach.
