Hi, everyone, I am Helen, an experienced private practice counselor expertise to help individual facing Anxiety, Depression, Panic disorder, Stress on study and work.

If you are a university student getting stuck with some problems and seeking a Cantonese or Mandarin counselor, I am the one and I will provide special rate for you, that is 20% off of my normal rate. As I grew up in Hong Kong, I am much aware of the cultural shock of new immigrants and university students from Asia such as Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China, Malaysia and Singapore. I have confidence that we can build up a therapeutic relationship without the language barrier.

I will help you to understand yourself and explore with the resources available to you both internally and externally and let you see that there are different alternatives. The ultimate aim is to help you to become free from mental distress and be able to enjoy life.

About me and my therapy practice

I received a huge number of professional trainings, composed of a wide variety of theories in counseling with years of experience of personal, marital and family counseling, premarital counseling, love, marriage and family therapy. I have 28 years of social work experience in helping couples to tackle their conflicts and restore their relationship. I help couples to reveal how their families of origin shape their conceptions and behaviors which affect their marriage expectations and parentings. I Integrated different theories and tools to help couples to achieve self and mutual understanding. The theories include CBT, systemic theory and Bowen Differentiation of self, etc. The tools include Taylor-Johnson Temperament Analysis (T-JTA) and FOCCUS Pre-Marriage inventory.
