About me and my therapy practice

Do you feel overwhelmed by your thoughts & feelings? Are you feeling anxious? Are you suffering from stress and feel “burnt out”?

Do you wonder how to manage those constant thought patterns which go round & round in your head, stopping you from being able to think clearly?

What would it feel like to offload and release that pressure without feeling judged or being offered well-meaning advice that just isn’t right for you?

Imagine that sense of building upon your self-esteem as you learn to trust your gut feeling and know instinctively what is right for you to enable that change to happen?

As a qualified counsellor, I work by integrating different theories, adapting them to the needs of the individual helping you to move forward in life.

Practice description

I understand that it’s difficult to know how to choose a counsellor, there’s a lot to choose from. I know this feeling because I’ve been there myself.

My personal experience of needing someone else to talk to outside the circle of my family and friends helps me to understand just how daunting it is asking for help and knowing who you can trust.

Here's a bit about me which may help you to gain more insight into how I work as a counsellor and whether we could be the "right fit" for each other.

I offer a warm, empathic and safe place to explore your thoughts and feelings, helping you to find a way to build upon your confidence and self-esteem, enabling you to move forward in life.

My work background has afforded me a greater understanding and specialism in domestic abuse issues. I offer pre-trial counselling. This combined experience, understanding and knowledge, allows me to offer help for work related stress, burnout and PTSD.

I also have valid and extensive experience of working with grief, relational problems, depression, anxiety, stress and feelings of overwhelm. I also work therapeutically with couples.

My first session

Session fees are £60 for individuals for 50 minutes.

I can offer "blocks" of sessions at a reduced cost. I also offer "one off" sessions in Solution Focused Brief Therapy. Please contact me for details of couples counselling availability and session fee designed around a time to suit you both.

The first session which will take up to an hour, is an initial "assessment" and will allow me to gain an understanding of your needs and expectations of counselling and for you to see if I am the right counsellor for you.

If you have any questions prior to booking the first session, we can arrange an initial brief chat over the telephone. This is free of charge.
