About me and my therapy practice
Welcome. My name is Catherine, I am a BPS-chartered counselling psychologist, a HCPC-registered practitioner psychologist and BACP-registered psychological therapist. I draw from a range of modalities to work with you on the life problems you might be experiencing. My approach to therapy is holistic, tailored to you and grounded in a safe and open therapeutic relationship. I aim to offer a space of empathy, warmth, authenticity and confidentiality within which you are able to heal and grow. I work with people facing various life challenges including anxiety, loss, depression, relationship problems, trauma and identity. I specialise in working with adolescents and young adults, particularly with life transitions/feeling lost. I have professional experience in multiple settings including the NHS, community mental health services, university counselling services and mental health charities.
Practice description
I work pluralistically and integratively. This means I work collaboratively with you, drawing from multiple different modalities that I have trained in to doctoral level and adapting therapy to you and your unique needs. I welcome an initial chat to talk about how we might work together to support you.

About me and my therapy practice
I offer clinical supervision for psychologists, therapists, counsellors and mental health professionals, providing a safe and supportive space to reflect on your practice, enhance your skills and manage the emotional demands of your work. I hold a BPS qualification in Clinical Supervision, which equips me with the knowledge and expertise to guide you through the complexities of your practice and support your ongoing professional development.
Practice description
As a qualified clinical supervisor, I offer a collaborative, reflective, and integrative approach. Drawing on a range of therapeutic modalities—such as person-centered, psychodynamic, CBT, and existential approaches—I tailor supervision to suit your unique style and needs. Together, we’ll explore:
Client Work: Discussing clients, exploring interventions, and considering new ways to work.
Therapist Self-Care: Exploring how you’re managing your own emotional well-being and preventing burnout.
Ethical Issues: Navigating any ethical concerns, ensuring that your practice remains aligned with professional guidelines.
Personal Growth: Identifying areas of growth for you as a therapist, and providing space for you to reflect on your values, strengths, and areas for development.
I offer clinical supervision for therapists at all stages of their careers—whether you're a trainee, newly qualified, or an experienced professional. If you're working in a variety of therapeutic settings (e.g., private practice, counseling centers, mental health organizations), I can provide tailored support for your specific context.
